The Association accomplishes its purposes through the Executive Committee and the following Standing Committees:
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee shall act as the principal budgeting organ of the Association and Fund raising.
Project Committee
The Project Committee shall have the responsibility of developing plans for the projects of the Association.
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee shall have the responsibility for outreach and recruitment of new members including compiling a directory of all Igbere people in diaspora.
Cultural and Social Committee
The Cultural and Social Committee shall promote Igbere culture. The Cultural and Social Committee shall be actively involved in organizing IDA Conventions, end of year parties and general meetings.
Constitution Review Committee.
They shall engage in periodic review of the IDA constitution and advice on needed updates to bring it up to date.
Media Committee
The role of the media committee is to manage IDA's image and branding through various digital channels. The media committee shall explore the use of relevant media and technology to enable IDA effectively communicate its activities and engage with its members and the public. This committee is also tasked with developing content for IDA’s social media platforms which can be pushed out to its memberships and sponsors
Grievance Committee
The Grievance committee was formed as a means to discuss and where possible eliminate grievances within IDA.
Grant Writing Committee
The Grant Writing Committee has the task of exploring all avenues for IDA to obtain grants towards achieving our goals of community development in Igbere.
Youth Committee
The Youth Committee is dedicated to serving our Igbere and uniting Igbere youth in the United States and Nigeria.
